Rims & Complete Wheels for the Skoda Kodiaq PS

Skoda Kodiaq PS rims and complete wheels – Your guide to alloy rims, tyres and fitting

Are you looking for suitable Skoda Kodiaq PS rims or Skoda Kodiaq PS complete wheels? Then you’ve come to the right place. Whether it’s alloy wheels, summer tyres, winter tyres or all-season tyres – we’ll show you how to find the best wheel and tyre combination for your Kodiaq and what you should look out for.

The Skoda Kodiaq – A versatile SUV for families and everyday life

The Skoda Kodiaq is a spacious family SUV characterised by practical interior space, reliable technology and driving performance suited to everyday use. Whether in city traffic, on long journeys or on weekend trips – the Kodiaq handles a wide variety of situations with ease.

The PS range offers robust engines and a good balance between comfort and driving dynamics. With the right choice of wheels and tyres, you can significantly enhance the driving experience: smaller wheels often offer greater comfort and better suspension, whilst larger wheel sizes give the car a sportier look and make the steering feel more direct.

Wheel sizes and designs for your Kodiaq

The available wheel sizes for the Kodiaq PS depend on the model and vary according to the engine and specification. Typically, sizes between 16 and 20 inches are in demand. For precise information on the permitted dimensions for your specific vehicle, we recommend checking the vehicle-specific product details.

When choosing your new wheels, you have a range of design styles to choose from:

• Sporty wheel designs with striking spoke patterns create a dynamic and modern look. They are particularly suitable if you want to give your Kodiaq a powerful look whilst also prioritising precise handling.
• Designs similar to OEM specifications are based on Skoda’s original wheel ranges and offer a harmonious look that suits the SUV’s character. This option has a timeless appeal and emphasises the quality of your vehicle.
• Elegant finishes such as polished or high-gloss chrome emphasise the vehicle’s premium quality and have a timeless appeal. They are particularly suitable for upmarket trim levels and discerning drivers.
• Sturdy, everyday-use rims in black or grey are practical and resistant to scratches and wear. These designs are ideal if durability and a low-maintenance look are more important to you than a high-gloss finish.

The colour of your wheels has a significant impact on the overall look. black rims have a sporty and modern feel, whilst silver or grey finishes look more elegant and classic. Your choice depends on your personal taste, the colour of your car and the overall impression you wish to create.

Wheel sizes – comfort, appearance and handling

Smaller wheel sizes, such as 16 inches or 17 inches, offer greater comfort and better suspension characteristics. The larger tyre cross-section acts as an additional cushioning system and smooths out bumps in the road. This is particularly pleasant on longer journeys and for everyday use on city streets. Furthermore, these sizes are generally more affordable to purchase and offer a wider choice of tyres.

Medium to larger rim sizes, such as 18 inches, 19 inches or 20 inches, have a much more pronounced effect on the look of your Kodiaq. They appear sportier and more modern, giving the SUV a more powerful presence. Steering response becomes more direct, and cornering stability may improve – albeit at the expense of slightly reduced comfort. Larger rims also require a narrower tyre cross-section, which can slightly increase road noise.

Summer complete wheels, winter complete wheels and all-season tyres

Depending on your region and intended use, various tyre options are available for the Kodiaq PS:

• Summer complete wheel sets offer optimum grip in warm weather, precise steering and sporty handling. They are ideal for the warmer months and long-distance journeys. Summer tyres have a hard rubber compound that performs optimally at high temperatures.
• Winter complete wheels are designed for cold, wet conditions, salt and slush. They ensure safety and control in winter conditions and are a legal requirement in many regions. The softer rubber compound retains its elasticity even at sub-zero temperatures.
• All-season tyres combine the characteristics of both types and are suitable for mild climates, city driving and moderate annual mileage. They are practical if you don’t want to switch between two sets.

winter-ready rims are specially designed for use during the colder months. They offer improved grip on ice and snow and contribute significantly to driving safety. Many drivers store their summer complete wheels and use separate winter wheels – this preserves both sets and optimises performance in every season.

Fitting, balancing and ready-to-ship complete wheels

If you opt for complete wheels, you’ll benefit from a particularly practical solution: the tyres are fitted to the rims and the wheels are balanced. This means the complete wheels are ready for dispatch and installation – you can fit them to your Kodiaq as soon as they arrive.

The scope of delivery includes centring rings, wheel bolts or wheel nuts (where required for your application) and standard hub caps. This means you have everything you need for fitting.

Understanding technical specifications – offset, bore and load capacity

When buying new rims, there are a few technical terms you need to understand to make the right choice. The ET value (offset) describes how far the wheel sits into the wheel hub. An ET value that is too large can lead to grinding noises, whilst one that is too small can cause problems with wheel alignment. Your vehicle has a permissible ET range, which you’ll find in the product details.

The bore and centre hole are the opening through which the wheel fits onto the wheel hub. This size must fit exactly – too small won’t work, whilst too large will lead to imbalance. Centring rings compensate for minor differences and ensure the wheel fits perfectly.

The load capacity specifies how much weight the rim is permitted to carry per wheel. It must at least match the load capacity of your vehicle. For family SUVs such as the Kodiaq, the load capacity is important, particularly if you regularly drive with a full load. You can find the exact requirements in the vehicle-specific product details.

Wheel protection, storage and maintenance

Your new rims are an investment that you should protect. Salt water, brake dust and harsh cleaning agents can damage the surface. Regular cleaning with mild soapy water and a soft cloth protects the paintwork and maintains the shine.

When changing between summer and winter tyres, store the wheels you’re not using in a dry, cool place. Ideally, hang them up or stack them on top of one another to prevent warping. This way, your complete wheels will last significantly longer and remain in optimal condition.

Minor scratches and damage can easily occur in everyday use. Professional scratch repairs can restore the appearance and prevent rust from forming. Some garages offer rim repairs – this is often cheaper than a complete replacement.

ABE, parts certificates and roadworthiness

Several factors are crucial for the legality of your new rims. A General Operating Permit ( ABE ) or a parts certificate confirms that the rims are approved for your vehicle model. The TÜV or registration with the vehicle registration authority may entail further requirements.

Important technical parameters include the load capacity, offset, bore diameter and centre bore diameter. Legality and fit are vehicle- and product-specific and must be taken into account based on the relevant product details and technical documentation. Every order is checked for vehicle compatibility and technical requirements.

Price and product range overview

The price of rims and complete wheels depends on various factors: rim size, rim manufacturer, design, surface finish, tyre manufacturer, tyre size, season, fitting and availability all play a part. Larger rims are generally more expensive than smaller ones, and well-known manufacturers often charge more than less established brands.

At felgenoutlet, you’ll find a wide range of manufacturers and designs. Recommended wheel rims offer good value for money, whilst cheap alloy wheels are ideal for price-conscious buyers.

In the wheel shop, you’ll find renowned manufacturers offering high-quality alloy wheels for the Skoda Kodiaq. R3 Wheels is an option that combines modern designs with excellent craftsmanship. These wheels are characterised by precise workmanship and durable surface treatments.

Frequently asked questions about Skoda Kodiaq PS wheels and complete wheelsets

What wheel sizes are permitted for the Skoda Kodiaq PS?

The permitted wheel sizes depend on the model and vary according to the engine and specification. Typically, sizes between 16 and 20 inches are available. You’ll find the exact dimensions, offsets and load capacities in the vehicle-specific product details. Every order is checked to ensure it matches the correct vehicle specification.

What is the difference between summer complete wheels and winter complete wheels?

Summer complete wheels offer optimum grip in warm conditions and precise handling, but are not suitable for cold weather or snow. Winter complete wheels are specially designed for cold, wet, salted and slushy conditions and ensure safety in winter conditions. In many regions, winter tyres are required by law. All-season tyres combine both characteristics and are suitable for mild climates and urban driving.

Do I need an ABE or a parts certificate for new rims?

An ABE (General Operating Permit) or a parts certificate confirms that the rims are approved for your vehicle model. Whether these are required depends on the specific rim and your vehicle. The TÜV or registration with the vehicle registration authority may entail further requirements. Legality and fit are vehicle- and product-specific and must be checked against the relevant product details.

Are the complete wheels ready for dispatch and fitment?

Yes, the complete wheels you have ordered are dispatched with tyres already fitted and balanced. The scope of delivery includes centring rings and wheel bolts or wheel nuts (where required for your application). Standard hub caps are also included. This means the complete wheels are ready for fitting and can be fitted immediately upon arrival.

How does the 3D configurator work?
